About MyTop50

MyTop50 is a daily ranking of the fifty most-wanted products on Amazon UK, reviewed honestly, organised for real shopping decisions.

It is operated from the United Kingdom, published in British English, and part of TonyGrant.AI — a small operation building AI-powered systems that actually run businesses, not just assist them.

How we choose the fifty

We monitor Amazon UK across five editorial categories: beauty, home, leisure and tech, plus a curated gifts lens that cuts across the other four. For each category we track real demand signals — movement in bestseller positions, review velocity, rating health, price stability — and rank the top performers each morning.

We do not accept paid placements. We do not trade rankings for affiliate kickbacks. We do not publish a ranking we would not defend to a friend asking for a gift idea.

How we write the reviews

Each review on MyTop50 is built from three data sources: the product page itself, the broader trend context for its category, and a thematic analysis of the last several hundred customer reviews for that product.

We do not reproduce customer reviews. We read them, cluster the praise and complaint patterns, and describe what the consensus is — the good bits and the genuine dealbreakers. This way you get the signal without having to scroll through thousands of star ratings to find it.

Every review is then checked against a structured accessibility and schema-markup standard before it goes live — one H1, correct heading order, descriptive link text, image alternative text, schema.org JSON-LD for product, review, and FAQ. Built in, not bolted on.

Editorial independence

MyTop50 participates in the Amazon Associates programme. When you buy through links on this site we may earn a commission, at no additional cost to you. That commission funds the operation — scraping, analysis, hosting, the works.

It does not shape our rankings. If a £6.49 blush wand outperforms a £150 serum on the metrics we care about, the £6.49 wand wins, regardless of which one pays us more.

We are also transparent about the fact that we will not always love every product on the list. Some trending products are trending because marketing is loud, not because they are great. When that is the case we say so.

Voice and editorial stance

We write in plain British English. No hype. No "revolutionary", no "game-changing". No three-paragraph preambles before the actual verdict. Our job is to save you time, not fill a page.

We write as a single editorial voice, not a committee of freelance names. It keeps the site coherent and lets you calibrate quickly — after a couple of reviews you know how we call it.

Accessibility

MyTop50 is built to WCAG 2.1 AA as a starting point, with structural decisions aimed at screen reader users in particular. Proper heading hierarchy, landmark roles, descriptive link text and no colour-only information. The site is maintained by a blind developer, which is as strong a commitment to accessibility as you can give — it has to work for the person shipping it.
